On Friday, July 29 at 5:30 pm, as part of the Just for Laughs Festival, the band Lucky Uke will lead the way in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for most people playing the same song together on ukulele.
In a 45-minute show at the Place des Festivals stage, the quartet will try to beat the record of 851 strummers set at London Uke Festival in June 2009. The bar is set very high, but nothing can faze the indomitable Lucky Uke!
The song selected for the record attempt is We're not Going To Take It, as showcased in Lucky Uke's latest video.
All ukulele fans throughout Quebec are urged to participate in this glorious event. Everyone who has their own uke should bring it to the show. If you don't have one, you can borrow an instrument free of charge at the site entrance, compliments of Steve's Music. Ukuleles can also be purchased for the modest sum of $20 at the site exit.
This is a gathering of ukulele enthusiasts that should not be missed this year. Wanna be a part of history?
